My wife has been preparing for weeks for her 37th big birthday party. The only problem is that my best friend is getting married on the same day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I asked her many times to postpone, but she refused because it is the day she was born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She tried to convince me to go to her party, saying that as her husband, it is a must for me to be present by her side. However, I told her, \u201cSorry. My friend will get married only once, while you\u2019ll have a birthday every year.\u201d She just smiled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I go to the wedding, and in the evening, while I am there, I get a text from an unknown number. To my horror, it says, \u201cDon\u2019t bother coming home tonight. Your wife won\u2019t be there.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I start panicking and call my wife repeatedly, but she doesn\u2019t pick up. I leave the wedding party early and go home to see what\u2019s going on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
