More and more women these days are choosing to live life on their own terms and couldn\u2019t care less about what society expects of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For generations, women have been burdened by social expectations that try to limit their freedoms\u2014from pressuring them into \u201cgirly\u201d interests and \u201csaving\u201d themselves for a future husband to shaming them for exploring their sexuality or fighting for their reproductive rights. However, a powerful shift is taking place as more and more women are reclaiming their autonomy and living on their terms, regardless of traditional expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This inspiring shift became even clearer in a Reddit thread on r\/AskWomen, where user u\/-Penguin_Anxiety-<\/a> posed the question: \u201cWomen who didn\u2019t follow the social norm of getting married & having kids \u2013 what are you doing instead?\u201d asked u\/-Penguin_Anxiety- who clarified that they are also a woman who is \u201cjust looking for some hope as the social norm is not on the cards for\u201d them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
